I love to play around with different styles of shoes, jewelry, and especially clothes, but sunglasses are definitely the one area where I don’t really deviate.  I have several pairs and styles, but my Ray Ban aviators are my absolute favorite pair, if you couldn’t tell by their very regular appearance on here, and I always find myself reaching for them.  Which is why it was all the more devastating when they slipped to the floor and shattered this weekend in a truly “oh-no-that-didn’t-just-happen” sort of moment.  Of course my immediate reaction was to replace them with their exact twin, only briefly toying with this blue/gold version as a way to switch things up.  But this little accident made me think maybe it’s time to try out another style all together so I’m giving these Dolce & Gabbana’s a test drive.  Paired with the basics — utility jacket and black maxi, there’s no denying they’re fun, but I’m still undecided if they’ll be the best replacement for my beloved aviators.
