I’ve been toying with the idea of trying out the dress over pants trend for a while now and a button-down shirt dress seemed like the most natural way to approach it.  So yesterday morning I reached for a blue striped shirt dress I’d previously decided would have to wait until spring, and threw it on over a (very old) pair of comfortable green pants.  It turns out I really liked the combo, even if my guy compared me to a middle school art teacher.  Paired with a vintage trench coat and heels it was a perfect blend of pulled together and relaxed.
