In the early aughts, chokers were my thing.  True story, Mike and I went to high school together and early on in our relationship he told me what he remembered most about me from that time was that I always wore hemp chokers and Roxy baby doll tees – full disclosure, I thought I was going to move to Hawaii or California and take up surfing, so, yea.  I even wore a beautiful pearl choker to prom.  When the trend started popping up I was hesitant, but knew full well that it was only a matter of time before I’d be back on the bandwagon.  Although this time I’m embracing the sleeker side of the style.
