Post-Holiday Joggers

December has been a whirlwind of a month.  Between holiday parties, dinners with friends, Christmas prep, hosting family, and getting work done in between, it’s been one heck of a fun month.  This also means we’ve basically done nothing but over-indulge in deliciously rich meals for the better part of the past few weeks.  I’ll be honest, by this point I’m ready to sleep until the new year.  Of course, that’s not actually possible, but I am looking forward to bringing in the new year in a much more low-key way than years past.  I’m thinking about taking the next few days off from Raving Fashionista too, to recharge, refocus, and prep for all that is to come in 2015; sort of like a mini, mental staycacation.  [But be sure to still follow along on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, and don’t forget to enter these awesome giveaways (here and here) before it’s too late!]  And while I’m at it, I plan to spend a lot of the next few days relaxing in laid back pieces like knit joggers, not unlike this pair from True Religion.

postholidayjoggers_2Side note, did you know True Religion made a sporty chic take on traditional denim?  I’ve only ever been familiar with their jeans so I was excited to re-discover the brand and take a look at all of the new pieces they have to offer.  I love that these pants feel like comfortable cotton sweat pants, but have a rich denim look that can be dressed up just enough to not look like I’m wearing my pajamas out of the house.  And as someone who doesn’t wear a lot of denim, that makes these the perfect post-holiday pant for lounging and still getting things done.  I’m thinking I might definitely need to pick up a few more pairs of these “Runner” pants.  The black pair would make for a very versatile option, and the maroon color is pretty fun, but I’m especially loving the gold foil pair — they may just need to be my what I decide to ring in the New Year with.  Only next time, I won’t size up.  I originally thought that if I sized up they would be all the more comfortable, but I think sticking true to size is the key to creating the perfect wear everywhere option that are as comfortable as they are stylish.
