I’ll always remember my first fashion week.  It was during the first week of my first job in New York; I was thrown right into the middle of it, checking in names I recognized from the mastheads of my favorite publications and it was incredible and exciting.  It was pre-Raving Fashionista and pre-“street style stars” and everyone wore black.  It was obviously inspiring in a million different ways, but I love looking at photos from fashion weeks now and finding new inspiration that has me viewing my closet in fresh, new ways.  Seeing all the color popping up outside the shows as people try desperately to stay warm makes me happier than ever that I ignored CK and held onto this coat.  It’s amazing what a splash of bright color can do not only for your mood, but also for a favorite black dress and comfy sneakers.
