I face the same challenge every year around this time — finding cute sweaters and a great coat that will keep me warm but isn’t made with any wool. This is because, lucky me, I’m one of the “rare” people who have a wool allergy. Most people are just sensitive to wool and their skin feels irritated and itchy, but I can’t even wear any wool blends, no matter how low the content is, without breaking out in an awful rash and hives. It is not fun, especially since every nice, winter coat I’m drawn to has at least some wool in it. (insert eye roll emoji/first world problems hashtag here) So for the past few months, I’ve been on the hunt for an affordable, wool-free coat that is stylish and warm, and preferably neutral enough for more formal occasions. I searched all over for an option that wasn’t shearling, (faux) fur, or a puffer style, and I finally found one that fit my requirements over at Mango. This one is structured, lined(!), machine washable (!!), comes in three colors and rings under $100 (with free shipping). Honestly, it was too good to pass up.
