What is it about summer ending that makes you crave lots of texture?  I guess after months of lightweight, barely-there fabrics you’re just ready for something with a little more weight.  I’ve had these velvet shoes for a few years now but I have a feeling they’ll be getting even more wear this year than they have in the past.  It’s still too hot to really think about knits, but velvety shoes add a little more substance, even to an easy cotton dress.
