I’d picked up this dress on sale last winter thinking I’d pair it with a black leather jacket and boots, but once I got it home it felt entirely too summery so instead I tucked it away for warmer weather.  Except I’d all but forgotten about it until this week when I pulled it out while looking for something easy to throw on that wouldn’t require much thought.  It’s the type of dress that would easily be dressed up for an office environment (it has short sleeves) with a nice shoe or a cardigan or blazer, but also works for casual weekend wear.  Which is, of course, the direction I went with, getting super casual with a distressed denim jacket and last year’s Birkenstocks.
