I don’t typically shy away from anything overly girlie, and I’m a sucker for a dress with a full skirt, but polka dots are a slippery slope for me. I think when done right, they can look elegant and classic, but done wrong and they look juvenile. I was smitten with the shape of this dress and pictured wearing it to share a shake with my main squeeze in some 50s era style date night scenario. And then I remembered our nearest malt shop is usually packed to the brim with little kids screaming over each other, and that romantic vision was replaced with the idea of toughening this dress up a bit with military green and chunky, rose gold.
