This dress has been in my repertoire for several summers now.  It was a piece I fell so head over heels for that I wound up buying it in two colors — something I’ve been known to do with easy to throw on dresses.  It’s one of those trapeze style dresses that had me convinced for the longest time that I couldn’t possibly wear it without heels for fear of looking like I was being drowning in fabric, but fashion rules are meant to be broken.  Besides, this dress has stayed firmly planted in my closet for a comfortable summer, errand-running option, and those sort of days work best with flat sandals.
