I’ve become so keen on wearing my sparkle during the day that I rarely, if ever, think to grab a sequined skirt for an evening affair anymore.  It’s just so much more fun, and slightly unexpected, to pare it down with an oversized cardigan (like I also did here) and casual flannel, than it is with a silky top and elaborate jewels.  Besides, most of my favorite pieces are covered in sequins, so if they were reserved strictly for fancy affairs, they’d spend much of the time sitting in the back of my closet collecting dust.
