This happens to me a lot, where I have a certain style shirt in mind to wear with a particular outfit, only to find that top doesn’t exist in my current closet.  So instead I start sorting through my dresses for a reasonable replacement, which is how yesterday’s outfit came to be.  This t-shirt-dress-turned-top wasn’t exactly what I had in mind, but it worked well to balance out the casual, playful vibe I was hoping for.
